Big Tomato Press publishes books we like, think others will like and that we think are marketable. This includes non-fiction, fiction and children’s books. We specialize in books that are entertaining through a combination of good writing about fun subjects, snappy layouts and beautiful cover and interior design. While we don’t believe in style over substance, we like style and our books reflect that.
We are a young, independent publishing company made up of successful authors, editors and artists. We know that our success is your success and we will combine all our expertise and experience to make it so.

Big Tomato Press is an independent publisher, which means that we publish the books we want and think our readers want – we’re not subservient to the literary dictates of some bureaucratic office 1200 miles away. Why should you buy directly from an independent publisher? Quite simply put, you’ll be supporting authors, artists and publishers who live and work in your community (usually), and you’ll eliminate the middleman.
Independent publishers can take more risks, offer niche book selections and take on projects deemed too daring or unusual for a traditional publisher.
